Job Description

A worldwide leader in chemical plant design is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join its existing group of experienced people working on plant and equipment process design. This is an exciting opportunity for a team player with in-depth knowledge of software tools for plant simulation & equipment. Working cross-functionally, the new team member will develop and implement process improvement strategies to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and safety while adhering to company work processes.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • Define optimal process configuration, plant simulation, design of process equipment.
  • Prepare process documentation for Technical Proposals, Feasibility Studies, and Basic Engineering Packages.
  • Provide technical support to proposal activities, including visits to customer for clarification meetings.
  • Provide technical support to business development activities, including visits to customer with promotional purpose.
  • Perform site surveys and provide assistance to start up and test run.
  • Provide technical support to Customer Care department for troubleshooting and plant performances evaluation. 
  • Participate in main conferences and events in the area of competence.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering focused on process development
  • 4-6 years of work experience in a similar position in an engineering or technology company operating on chemical or petrochemical plants
  • Specific work experience in Ammonia, Syngas/Urea fertilizers 
  • Very fluent written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge software tools for plant simulation and equipment
  • Availability to travel for contacts, discussions with clients, site surveys, plants start up, and guarantee test runs
  • Good team-player, ability to build relationships inside and outside the company, self-motivated with strong communication skills
