Job Description

A well-established independent oilfield services company is looking for a Tool Crib Attendant to maintain the proper tooling inventory levels through tooling management software. The ideal candidate possesses a foundational understanding of machine shop tools. Demonstrating accuracy and organizational skills, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by increasing productivity while meeting quality, cost, and on-time delivery requirements.

Location: Houston, TX 77092
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: M-F 6am-2:30pm

Responsibilities: 
  • Utilize CribMaster interfaces and modules.
  • Maintain tool crib inventory levels.
  • Maintain tool crib in an orderly and organized manner.
  • Order tooling for stock and for manufacturing use.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a combination of education and experience; outside course work will be available on an as need basis to ensure that all goals are achieved
  • Basic knowledge of machine shop tooling (i.e., Carbide Insert, tool types, turnig tool, drill bits) 
  • Interpersonal skills - focus on resolving issues and remain open to others’ ideas
  • Oral and Written Communication - listen and get clarification, respond well to questions and write clearly and informatively
  • Quantity and Quality - demonstrate accuracy and apply feedback to improve performance; complete work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity
  • Able to work under moderate supervision in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office products to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems. CAD/CAM and Solidworks experience preferred
  • High level organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write and/or complete routine report
  • Ability to use all working mathematical calculations required to perform the duties for this job
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
