Job Description
Salary + Additional Benefits:
- $65,000-$85,000

Location: Downtown Houston, TX (hybrid)
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain corporate governance and entity records, litigation calendars and files, real estate agreements, commercial agreements, and other original legal documents.
- Create and maintain a web-based database for all legal agreements and records.
- Prepare initial drafts of legal documents, including commercial contracts, corporate resolutions and consents, memorandums, certificates and closing binders for review, approval and use by the Legal Department.
- Research, analyze, and summarize law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
- Assist with general support during contract reviews and negotiations.
- Perform limited clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, calendaring and monitoring deadlines, providing information to callers, and composing routine correspondence.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of related legal experience; Individuals with contract administration, paralegal, or legal assistant experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Board of Director reporting software
- Ethical responsibility and experience in handling highly confidential information
- Experience in analysis and interpretation of documents, reports, and correspondence
- Working knowledge of legal principles, practices, and terminology as well as basic knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through to meet all deadlines
- Very strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy in all work
- Superior verbally and written communication and enthusiastic interaction with all clients
- Multitask throughout the day with a diverse group of individuals in a professional and appropriate demeanor while instilling confidence in senior management
- Independent work based on general instructions while adhering to pre-established guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations
