Job Description
A leading large diameter pipe manufacturing company in North America is looking for a Production Supervisor to ensure all production requirements are completed in accordance with customer specifications and within the stipulated timeframe. The ideal candidate possesses effective leadership abilities and a deep understanding of production procedures and industry best practices. Working closely with the team, the new leader will foster operational excellence by ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations while maintaining compliance with all quality specifications and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:Â
- Ensure all machines are in good operating condition, machines are set up as required by specification and utilized as efficiently as possible to meet the target numbers.Â
- Oversee all production areas to ensure that each machine and product is in compliance with all quality specifications. Ensure that each area is producing as efficiently as possible.
- Train all employees working under supervision as per procedure for training and competency and evaluate their performance prior to assigning job.
- Troubleshoot any issues with machinery.
- Ensure safety of employees working under supervision and report if any near miss, safety incidence, and potential hazardous area.Â
- Ensure product is manufactured as per approved MPS & ITP and all record required are submitted to QA.Â
- Ensure consumables and spares are available to perform the work.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in pipe and/or steel industries or fabrication shops
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of machinery that the supervisor is overseeing
- Good knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Suite – Word and Excel
- Excellent supervisory skill
- Ability to handle client & third-party inspector, production and logistics, therefore good communication skill is required
- Knowledge of the workflow of the shop floor and ability to react to unforeseen issues before they happen
