Job Description
A Houston-based construction company is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial operations tied to ongoing projects. This role plays a key part in project budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and expense management, and is ideal for someone who is both detail-oriented and analytical.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial components related to assigned projects, including budgets, forecasts, expenses, and financial reporting.
- Allocate project costs across departments and monitor adherence to budget parameters.
- Reconcile and review project budgets, expenditures, and revenue streams.
- Partner with project managers and internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and ensure sound fiscal management.
- Support project audits and ensure all documentation and reporting meet compliance standards.
- Maintain compliance with financial policies and applicable regulations.
- Perform full-cycle AP and AR functions as they relate to projects.
- Participate in bid evaluations and support the preparation of bid proposals.
- Execute data queries and ensure accurate, timely financial data.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in ERP and Accounting systems
- Strong understanding of core accounting functions, including AP and AR
- Experience with project-based financial managemen
- Familiarity with bid evaluation and proposal processe
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and data analysis
- Ability to write and execute data queries
- Audit experience and attention to financial accuracy and compliance.
