Job Description
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Technical Admin to provide part-time support with technical documentation, research, project coordination, and quality/ISO documentation.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with technical information, following structured processes, organizing documentation, and helping move projects forward.
Compensation: $20-$25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10-20 hours per week; Flexible scheduling
Location: Houston, TX 77092 - Onsite
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including assembly guides, procedures, and other internal documents.
- Translate technical processes and product information into clear, organized documentation.
- Assist with preparation and organization of documentation for the company's upcoming ISO audit.
- Gather, organize, and maintain audit responses, forms, records, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct research, make phone calls, gather information, and assist with special projects as assigned.
- Help organize project information and track assignments, documentation, and follow-up items. Review information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Work independently to complete assigned projects and meet deadlines.
- Assist with a variety of technical and administrative tasks that help support ongoing company projects and development.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle company and technical information appropriately.
Qualifications
- STEM related education or experience is preferred, including engineering, science, biology, chemistry, or other technical disciplines.
- Previous experience with technical documentation, technical writing, technical administration, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working with technical information and terminology.
- Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand processes and document them in a logical, easy-to-follow format. Familiarity with ISO documentation/quality systems is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software and systems.
- Able to work independently, prioritize assignments, and follow projects through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
