Job Description
A leading manufacturer and processor of titanium bar, seamless tube, and finished components is seeking an Operations Assistant to join the team. This is a hands-on role supporting warehouse and shop operations, including receiving, inspecting, measuring, cutting, heat treating, tracking, labeling, packaging, and shipping materials and customer orders. The Operations Assistant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of daily warehouse activities, working directly with materials, machinery, and equipment throughout the workday.

Location: Sugar Land, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
-
Receive, inspect, identify, measure, and properly store incoming materials.

Maintain accurate inventory records and 100% material traceability.

Operate bandsaws to cut material accurately according to work orders and drawings.

Perform heat-treating operations and maintain required documentation.

Perform occasional light lathe machining as needed.

Operate forklifts, company vehicles, and other warehouse equipment safely.

Package and prepare customer and vendor shipments.

Maintain equipment calibration records and ensure equipment is properly maintained.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.

Follow all company Quality System, Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.

Assist with deliveries and pickups using company vehicles when needed.

Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
Warehouse, manufacturing, or machine shop experience
-
Ability to perform basic math, including measurements, fractions, and decimals
-
Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
-
Valid Texas driver's license required and must be able to safely operate a company vehicle when required

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and track materials
-
Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
-
Regular attendance and punctuality are required
-
Must be comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse and shop environment and performing physical tasks throughout the workday

Bandsaw and heat-treat experience strongly preferred
-
Experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, and rulers

Proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks
-
Stable work history, ideally 3+ years in a previous role (required)

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
