Job Description
A Houston-based wealth management and financial planning firm is seeking an Associate Planner to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships, delivering personalized financial guidance, and helping clients achieve long-term financial confidence. The Associate Planner is responsible for supporting clients through financial planning, investment strategy, insurance planning, and client service, while partnering closely with Advisors, Operations, Compliance, and Client Service teams.

Location: Houston, TX 77024
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Assist with client meetings, follow-up, and ongoing service requests.
- Support client onboarding and education on available platforms and services.
- Prepare financial plans, allocation models, insurance proposals, and other client deliverables.
- Analyze client strategies and identify opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
- Maintain accurate financial planning data and documentation.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Prepare client correspondence and maintain detailed client files in accordance with compliance requirements.
- Coordinate client appreciation initiatives, gifting, and client events.
- Partner closely with Advisors, Operations, Compliance, and Client Service teams.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and client experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; finance-related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or a client-facing professional environment
- Will consider finance track entry level college graduates, internship in finance environments preferred
- CFP designation preferred or willingness to obtain within two years
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with financial planning software (MoneyGuidePro, Redtail, or similar) preferred
- High attention to detail and commitment to exceptional client service
