Job Description

A fast-growing company in the aerospace, oil and gas industry is seeking an Account Manager to join the team. This role focuses on sales of products primarily to the Oil and Gas Upstream market, with potential expansion into Geothermal, HDD, and Mining markets. The Account Manager is responsible for growing sales and market share across key accounts, developing new applications for current products, and identifying potential new product opportunities.

Location: Sugar Land, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Achieve booking and sales objectives assigned by the General Manager.
  • Meet customers and prospects to promote company products and technology.
  • Provide formal sales analysis and forecasts (twice annually) for budgeting purposes on standard products and application specific products/programs that have been identified by sales activity.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for each key account.
  • Report to management sales activity on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Interface with Product Management regarding the potential development of any new products.
  • Participate in industry trade association meetings and committees as deemed necessary.
  • Represent company at various industry trade shows.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred 
  • 15+ years experience in sales or business development for technical products in the Oil and Gas Upstream market
  • Strong new sales development skills
  • Technical product knowledge in M/LWD downhole sensors and systems
  • Japanese language and culture knowledge (preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate and problem solve
  • Client management experience at various organization levels
  • Sales and business acumen
  • Positive attitude, results oriented, and self-starter
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally, up to 30% of the time
