A leading distributor of industrial valves is seeking a Shop Helper to support shop and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a dependable and hands-on individual comfortable with physical labor. Working with minimal supervision, the new hire will support daily operations by handling materials and performing basic shop tasks while maintaining safety standards and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Salary: $17-20/hr
Location: Missouri City, TX 77489
Type of Position: Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Responsibilities:

• Unboxing & Pallet Handling: Manually open crates using pry bars, hammers, and metal band cutters.
• Rust Removal: Use Scotch-Brite hand pads and drill attachments (backing discs) to clean and remove rust from raised face ends.
• Chemical Application: Apply degreaser, rust remover, and rust preventative sprays.
• Physical Labor: Frequent bend, lift, and move material throughout the shift.
   

• Safety Gear: Must have steel-toe boots and strictly abide by all company safety policies
• Must have overhead crane experience and be able to operate a forklift
• Minimal warehouse experience is required, but must be comfortable with "laborious" and repetitive tasks
