A growing manufacturing company is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join their team. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply!

Position Location: Missouri City

Position Pay: $13.50/HR - $18/HR (Depending on Experience)

Position Type: Contract to Hire

Requirements:
•    Must have experience with HAZARDOUS MATERIAL
•    Experience with shipping software on FEDEX and or UPS  
•    Must have good computer skills (WORD, EXCEL, EMAIL)
•    2 - 3 years’ experience in WHSE, Picking, Receiving, Inventory control
•    Well spoken (Will have to communicate with Customers (Internal and External). 

Responsibilities:
RECEIVING AREA:   
•    Receiving incoming freight from a variety of freight carriers, confirming the number of packages 
received, their condition and signing for them.
•    Checking the contents of the packages against the supplier packing list.
•    Check "Outsource service work order" for all "Outsource service PO's".
•    Control of "disposal battery" by verifying the total weight, log in and follow up 'battery disposal log".
•    Notifying the proper person when hot orders are received.
•    Contact CPA for the PO of customer supplied parts.
•    Contact "Prep" for all incoming products with location 500.001.001, 700.700.700, 900.600.001.
•    Repackaging when necessary, incoming stock items into more suitable quantities to allow easier picking for cycle counting.
•    Receiving data entry into "Visual Manufacturing"
•    Reports all shortages to applicable departments.
•    Moved to QC for all incoming QC products location 911.001.001
•    Marking properly and placing incoming stock in the Carousel or on the shelves, in its proper location, 
rotating inventory, so that the oldest inventory is pick first (FIFO).
•    Checking customer RMA, contact CPA for NCM if needed, process NCM thru "Visual Quality"
•    Examines all incoming shipments, rejects damaged items for any damage. 
•    Operates forklift or pallet jack to move product from shipping and receiving storage or work area.
•    Operates warehouse equipment to handle products. (carousel, scale, ESD , Instapacker…).
•    Contact Procurement for any receiving issues.
•    Keeping the receiving area clean and safe.
•    Report direct to warehouse supervisor.

PICKING AREA:
•    Picking work order pick lists produced by the VAC .
•    Picking "D" items for customer orders.
•    Picking process thru Visual Manufacturing.
•    Picking parts requested from other departments on "Adjustment form".
•    Operates warehouse equipment to handle products. (carousel, scale, ESD , Instapacker…).
•    Operates forklift or pallet jack to pull products from stock.
•    Working closely with Planning for work order picking.
•    Reporting any inventory discrepancies found when picking.
•    Keeping picking areas clean and safe.
•    Report direct to warehouse supervisor.

SHIPPING AREA:
•    Checking work order brought to warehouse from QC to make sure all material cards and components 
issued complete, fill out " Work order shipping status" form.
•    Checking  "UN" approved box set up on work order (if applicable) to match with actual box use for
packaging ( part number and quantity)
•    Processing all related shipping paperwork.
•    Properly packaging and labeling material for shipping.
•    Contact CPA for shipping issues.
•    Contact Accounting for credit card order, cash in advance, COD order (tax or tax exempt).
•    Filling out any documents, i.e., waybills, etc., required by the freight carrier for shipping material.
•    Input the total charges and  shipping information  in "Visual  Manufacturing".
•    Process RMA thru Visual Quality..  
•    Filling out any paperwork required by the company, i.e., packing lists, freight charges, etc., for internal purposes.
•    Dispatching of freight carriers when required.
•    Reporting any shortages in shipping supplies, i.e., shipping boxes, tape, labels, etc., to the Warehouse Supervisor.
•    Identifying new ways of reducing all costs as related to the shipping process and increasing profitability in all areas of concern.
•    Operates forklift and or Pallet jack to move product from shipping and receiving storage or work area.
•    Operates warehouse equipment to handle products. (carousel, scale, ESD , Insta packer…).
•    May direct others in preparing outgoing shipments. 
•    Keeping the shipping area clean and safe.
•    Report direct to warehouse supervisor
