An energy company has an immediate need for an Training Coordinator to join their Southwest office. This role will be responsible for the scheduling of training classes, coordinating internal training initiatives and workshops. This is a contract opportunity with potential! 

Location: Southwest, Houston

Pay rate: $17.00-19.00

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule training classes and coordinate travel logistics.
  • Process, update and issue documentation required for professional licenses and certifications.
  • Works closely with rig-based Safety Training Supervisors (STS) and shore based management to track renewals and re-certification for all Regional personnel.
  • Works with Learning & Development department to organize and coordinate internal training initiatives and workshops as required.
  • Works with Accounts Payable to set up vendors as needed.
  • Reconciles payments to vendors and hotels through rig-specific purchase cards and direct bill invoices.
  • Reconciles internal billing of training to appropriate assets (rigs).
  • Inputs, manages, and reports on data in company-wide training management software system.
  • Maintains records and files as necessary.
  • Other Divisional administrative duties as required.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in related field.
  • Professional, responsive and positive in demeanor and interactions
  • Able to multi-task
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Task and detail oriented
  • Intermediate Accounting & Costing skills.
  • Strong workflow software proficiency and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communications Skills.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills.
