Seeking a Software Sales Representative

Location: Sugar Land, TX

Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 + Commission


  • Responsible for taking incoming leads and turning them into demos’ and meetings.
  • Identify new customers, understand the customer’s needs, set meetings and close deals.
  • Developing competitive sales plans/strategies for software and professional services.
  • Meeting or exceeding assigned revenue goals by identification, contact, qualification and development of viable new accounts.
  • Understand Customers so that you can help their integrators, and developers be more effective.
  • Developing, executing and delivering quality solution-focused client Demo’s / presentations.
  • Developing and manage customers through high quality, technical and professional, client relationships.
  • Representing and protecting the company brand with integrity and professionalism at all times, in all written and oral communication.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of customer applications, competitive product differences, and social media/collaboration strategies to target and sell to prospective clients.
  • Interface with the key teams such as Product Development, Project Delivery and Marketing - sharing market intelligence and potential for sales opportunities.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Business, or acceptable equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 – 10 years direct sales experience in data management and experience management solutions, especially PIM related product will be given preference.
  • Strong background of selling IT products to a diverse group including Marketing, Business, Sales/Services, IT and operations.
  • Excellent presentation skills and prior experience in Product Information Management products will be preferred.
  • Must have experience in retail, distribution and or Supply chain.
  • A proven track record of reaching and exceeding targets.
  • Experience with Data management.
  • Experience with IT sales and understands PIM / DAM & E-commerce 
  • Experience with SKU’s.
  • Open to 25% Travel throughout the U.S. and potential international travel.
  • Proven ability to develop a professional rapport, engage prospects in meaningful dialog about issues they are trying solve, and address initial questions and objections confidently and professionally.
  • Ability to talk to company executives who make business decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn processes, systems, industries, products, company, etc.
