  • Responsible for leading, supporting and managing the purchasing, sourcing, vendor management, raw material planning functions of the site
  • Maintains close interaction with materials management and operations planning
  • Manages and directs the buyers and Raw Material Planners
  • Support, promote and drive Daily Management System within the Purchasing organization, ensure issues are resolved at the appropriate level of the organization and timely escalation issues when required
  • Supports buying and raw material planning needs for LHI. Act as Liaison between Purchasing, Suppliers, Logistics/QA/QC and Manufacturing which requires communication of raw material related decisions
  • Works closely with Logistics Manager and Program Manager groups to ensure highest levels of satisfaction to our clients
  • Ensures material master data is accurate and maintained within the SAP System. Coordinates with QA on supplier/vendor qualifications
  • Oversee projects that are aligned to deliver efficiencies and cost control/reduction to improve material flow
  • Optimizes supplier and material sources, including evaluation, approval of single/multi-sourcing.
  • The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures, and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments


  • Education: Degree (required)* BS/BA Science or related field
  • Degree (preferred) MBA Management, Finance, Engineering
  • Purchasing/Planning/Operations Level 5-8 years of experience  
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP          
  • SAP, Microsoft Excel & Outlook, ERP, cGMPs, regulatory industry, problem solver
  • Able to communicate orally and written in a professional manor, highly organized, strong attention to details, data driven,ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment, and ability to work within a team.
  • Travel less than 10%
  • Must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries
  • Adherence to cGMPs is required at all times during the manufacture of APIs
