Project Manager

A leading provider of workspace products and services in Houston is adding a Project Manager to their growing staff.  The Project Manager will act as a field customer service representative professionally and promptly handling customer inquiries and/or complaints as well as taking immediate action to resolve customer concerns.

Compensation: $60,000 to $100,000 annually


  • Attend construction meetings
  • Locate and mark power location and site measurements
  • Review building conditions (i.e., dock, elevator, etc.)
  • Deliver and review design/power plans with General Contractor
  • Review installation plans with General Contractor
  • Review power locations and type (power pole vs. base feeds) with General Contractor
  • Set up pre-install meeting with project team
  • Set up installation schedule with building
  • Confirm certificate of insurance is on file with vendor
  • Track direct trucks with vendor
  • Organize and oversee labor crews at job site
  • Train installation crews on new furniture installs
  • Communicate daily with team regarding progress, issues, and concerns with project
  • Document shortages, damages, and change orders
  • Check product for discrepancies, damage, documents and communicate to project team   
  • Conduct daily project site visits taking installation pictures for project team
  • Prepare punch and claims list
  • Ensure all work is complete to include scope of work, punch list items and change orders to close out project
  • Participate in team meetings


  • Three years' work experience in a Project Management role with proven ability to meet or exceed project deadlines
  • Experience in a construction or installation industry a plus
  • Experience in modular furniture or furnishings required
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels as the audience may vary dramatically depending upon the task or requirement
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Project Matrix, Plangrid, and/or Team Design a plus
  • Familiar with industry standard specification tools and MS Office
  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with team members and clients both verbally and in writing
  • Maintain professional behavior on daily basis, preserving self-confidence, motivation, and self-esteem of others
  • Offer solutions for problems or issues that arise; works collaboratively with others and be a strong team player willing to take on new processes
  • Proactively build effective working relationships with others seeking to understand others, enhance others’ ideas, and place higher priority on team or organizational goals than on own goals taking prompt action to accomplish objectives
  • Multitask between projects as necessary to maintain up-to-date information and keep all parties involved in the loop
  • Work effectively on multiple projects while managing deliverables and communicating work output accordingly
