Position Location: Houston, TX (West)

Position Salary: $110,000 - $135,000 (Depending on Experience)


  • Supervise and help projects within the company
  • Able to size raceway, cable tray, low voltage, and medium voltage power cable per NFPA 70
  • Able to specify industrial control panel hardware, power supplies, etc, per UC508A
  • Perform high level planning of both power and control system design
  • Evaluate and check the work of IE designers and provides designers with direction on sketches etc.
  • Provides direction and mentorship to designers
  • Complies with company standards
  • Review vendor packages and proposals for consistency and conformance to the project requirements as well as the codes and standards required by the project.
  • Comfortable designing medium and low voltage power systems with a focus on safety and reliability
  • Understands the aesthetics of a quality drawing package and ensures quality is upheld
  • Perform FAT & SAT as needed at client facilities, and travel to client sites for startup meetings, etc.


  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree a minimum; Masters or higher education preferred. PE License is a plus.
  • 5+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Strong background experience in the application of NFPA 70, API RP 500, API RP 552
  • Exposure to IEC requirements as they pertain to are classification, symbols, and control system designs.
  • Exposure to other industry codes and standards and understanding when to apply them
  • Must be willing and able to lead a project team, along with multiple projects
  • Ability to multitask in a challenging and dynamic working environment
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
