A nonprofit organization has an immediate need for a Program Assistant to join their office. The ideal candidate has strong administrative experience and seeks to work for a cause. 

Location: Southwest, Houston 

Salary: $40,000-45,000


  • Supports the administrative and documents management functions of the grantmaking process through:
    • Data and document management
    • Grantee communications and assistance
    • Workflow management.
  • Serve as co-administrator of the grants management system and working with internal and external technical support staff to modify system functional capabilities as needed.
  • Coordinate with the finance department on grant disbursements to process payments, maintain accurate records and reconcile data.
  • Ensure grant files adhere to organization policy, legal, IRS, and auditing requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of materials for Trustee meetings.


  • Approximately 2-3 years of strong administrative experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong skills using a complex data management system.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task and achieve deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, particularly with a large workload and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adjust to changing priorities..
