Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to ensure the facility meets its production goals and quality standards while minimizing manufacturing costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes while overseeing daily operations of production and manufacturing ensuring policies and procedures are followed and on time delivery is met.
  • As Plant Manager, you will be the most visible leader of the facility overseeing planning, production, build plan, and maintenance operations to produce an effective return on capital employed. This includes human capital where your demeanor and knowledge will be reflected in your cooperative team.
  • Exude leadership in many areas such as production, inventory management, team building, customer expectation setting, and defining and meeting KPIs providing accurate and realistic reporting to key stakeholders.
  • As Plant Manager you will be expected to harness a working environment which encourages team work between cross functional departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Sales.
  • Manage all intervention & stimulation equipment (ISE) operations resources within the plant and engage other ISE facilities in order to meet ISE Product Line expectations.
  • Improve productivity and profitability through the implementation of effective work methods such as Lean and QRM and creative problem solving is expected and required.
  • Establish and implement manufacturing business strategies which:
    • Maximizes profitability for the business within timescales by driving improvements in cost structures including manufacturing efficiency and sourcing/purchasing cost improvements
    • Achieves a culture of continuous improvement and engagement by all people to make processes more efficient
    • Implement strategies in alignment with ISE global strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
    • Introduce and monitor additional processes and six sigma methods including. 5s, Lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen, etc.
    • Maintain company KPI's and ensure targets are communicated to Managers, use operational metrics to root cause analyses any problems
    • Monitor customer issues, feedback, deadlines and deliverables and ensure internal/external customer issues are handled effectively and quickly adapting internal processes as and where necessary
    • Manage the facility within operating budget
    • Advise on and implement production methods and techniques whilst preparing justifications for new capital expenditure
    • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining/improving quality and safety standards
    • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
    • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
    • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
    • Stay up to date with latest production and manufacturing best practices and concepts
    • Develop robust internal processes to ensure material and resource requirements are available to meet actual and forecast sales demand
    • Accomplish facility objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements, allocating resources, reviewing progress and making mid-course corrections
    • Foster a positive team ethos geared towards profitably satisfying client requirements and a sense of urgency to address customer concerns
    • Utilize specialist support functions in order to develop, monitor people skills and achieve business goals
    • Establish a cadence from the staff to the shop floor to review actual performance (check) to KPIs and business targets and establish appropriate countermeasures to adjust
    • Develop an effective team structure with communication to get people engaged and focused on the top priority business needs
    • Provide HSE leadership ensuring personal/team compliance with legislation and Company policies and drive a culture that health and safety is our top priority
    • Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times
    • Travel when required as dictated by business needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required as a minimum, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical backgrounds; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10 + years’ experience with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and principles
  • 5+ years Plant Management experience in the manufacture of heavy industrial mechanical assemblies (preferably in the Oil and Gas industry), including pressure control equipment is required
  • Experienced in the manufacture of Engineer to Order (ETO) within a certified manufacturing environment
  • Significant knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing such as production, inventory management and control, cost accounting methods (Standard, Actual, FIFO, etc.), quality management systems, engineering systems and Project Life Cycle.
  • Extensive knowledge in MPS and MRP is required including infinite scheduling, capacity planning and lead time reduction methodologies
  • Experienced in implementing work methods in low volume, high mix and high complexity (engineer to order) products within a certified manufacturing environment (ISO, API, PSL and PED etc.)
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Change Management and have theoretical and practical experience in implementing lead manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques such as 5S/6S, QRM, GEMBA, Kaisen, VSM, etc.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of cost accounting, financial reserves and how they are calculated, and Financial impacts on the P&L
  • Must have a strong understanding of MS Office and ERP programs or similar software
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are a must
  • Other duties as assigned
