Primary Purpose:

Ensuring that production assembly is engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The Electrical Leadman provides effective training to the assembly men and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.


  • Determine most efficient work procedures and techniques for assigned staff to ensure timely completion of electrical projects, and make sure that safety standards and procedures are followed.
  • Lay-out, assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair electrical fixtures.
  • Install interior and exterior wiring for equipment; bend conduits, cuts, drills, and channels concrete floors and walls for conduits and related installations or repairs. 
  • Install wires and cables in conduits and data cable. 
  • Install, test, maintain and replace electronic controls for electrical and power apparatus. 
  • Perform maintenance on high voltage systems, up to 600 volts, when the systems are de-energized. 
  • Maintain electrical hand and power tools and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  • Attend to trouble calls for emergency repairs to electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Estimate job costs and prepare material lists and job records. 
  • Provide supervisor with technical input on electrical work concerning planned construction and work projects in progress. 
  • Assist in planning and developing modifications to existing electrical systems. 
  • Assist in the inspection of facilities for maintenance and safety problems related to electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Assist in the inspection of electrical work performed by outside contractors. 
  • Assist in developing job specifications, diagrams, and blueprints related to electrical work. 
  • Provide training to personnel assigned to unit. 
  • May schedule and oversee the work of other building trade workers assigned to unit. 
  • .


  • Knowledge of classified equipment, Class 1, Div 1, 2, Atex, Iecex, Control wiring and Electrical codes.
  • Five plus years in related HVAC/Electrical Field
