Document Control Clerk

A local consulting company providing environmental and engineering services is seeking a Document Control Clerk to assist with the consistency, uniformity, versioning and storage of electronic documents.

Compensation: $16 to $20 per hour; DOE


  • Work with appropriate staff to optimize documentation integrity across the company
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Implement maintain the file share folder structure; maintain electronic and physical documentation per guidelines
  • Maintain file share access according to policy
  • Ensure conformance to policy
  • Review and reformat all documents as requested
  • Manage file size, duplicates, records retention, document location, document ownership, etc.
  • Provide coaching on system to personnel as needed
  • Provide initial training
  • Manage integration of new process and maintain


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college or college degree preferred
  • Experience in Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a heavy Word Processing or Documentation field
  • 2+ years in an administrative role preferred
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong initiative skills
  • Significant computer skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of ownership to the organization
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability
  • Quick Learning Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Advanced knowledge of shared files and file organization
  • Documenter/Records experience preferred
