Oil and Gas manufacturing company in Anderson, TX is seeking a Controller to join their team. This position will lead the financial reporting, analysis, internal controls and SOX compliance for multiple US based ledgers.  

Salary: $105,000 - $115,000

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates business processes to streamline and drive improvements.
  • Develops business and cost reports, metrics, and key performance indicators to evaluate, interpret and provide critical information in support of operational decisions.
  • Manages a total staff of 7 in two distinct operations in multiple locations.
  • Manages the monthly forecast and annual operating and mid-year plans.
  • Manages the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes within the various ISE manufacturing/operations facilities.
  • Participates in acquisition analysis and leads financial acquisition integration efforts for the business group.
  • Manages working capital; proactive in accounts receivable initiatives and coordinating with the credit department in the assessment of collection risk.
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory and works closely with operations.  
  • Works with operational groups to ensure accurate recording of inventory and production costs. Manages periodic physical inventories and cost rolls.
  • Responsible for monitoring, developing and designing a strong internal control environment for SOX compliance requirements.
  • Support ledger audit activities for internal and external audits.
  • Supports corporate tax group in adherence to statutory reporting requirements and tax.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA desired but not required.
  • 3+ years in similar role and 5-7 experience overall experience working in cost accounting and in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, proficiency with HFM, Essbase/Planning including reporting through Smartview.
  • Experience working in a large ERP system including EPR implementations.
  • Experience with standard product costing, BOMs, Absorption, and Labor Rates.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and SOX Management.
