A privately owned organization is seeking a CFO to join the team. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting operation.This is an outstanding opportunity to have an immediate impact supporting and strengthening  a stable and growing business.

Location: Kerrville, Texas

Salary: $100,000-130,000

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the annual budget and analyze results compared to that budget.
  • Prepare updated forecasts and project financial trends.
  • Review financial performance of each of the revenue streams (summer camp, corporate events, etc.) and assist in the strategy to maximize profitability.
  • Manage vendor contract negotiations.
  • Oversee, and in some cases perform, all accounting functions including but not limited to the following:
    • Billing and collection
    • Purchasing and receiving
    • Accounts payable and payment process
    • Prepare account reconciliations and ensure proper accounting of transactions in the financial records
    • Payroll processing
  • Manage the administration of the credit card processing function and ensure proper collection of all charges.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including a comparison to budget with detailed explanations of variances.
  • Manage any audits – financial, tax or otherwise – they may arise from time to time.
  • Participate in any strategic initiatives as the lead financial advisor, as required.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all required tax returns including federal, franchise, sales and use, property, payroll and other.
  • Handle all risk management related requirements including insurance policy placement and renewal, claims management, etc.
  • Manage loans, origination and renewals, as required, and all related compliance.
  • Provide cash management and prepare daily cash and liquidity reports.
  • Prepare financial analysis on any proposed capital expenditures.
  • Oversee investments and make recommendations for investment strategy.
  • Manage the development and monitoring of company policies and procedures
  • Manage the renewal of benefit plans and provide ongoing supervision of those plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college.
  • Five or more years of experience in an accounting management role.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge and experience required to manage daily, monthly and year-end accounting cycles.
  • Strong leadership skills are required.  Must have the ability to manage and review current staff, possess excellent supervisory skills and have experience in training staff.
