A fast growing Freight and Trucking company is seeking to add Brokers Sales people to their team

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $40,000-$50,000 or open to straight commission candidates 

Responsibilities

  • Assess Customer Need
  • Maintain these relationships by continually assessing customer needs, identifying client concerns, recommending solutions, and following up regularly
  • After completing deals, responsible for preparing and completing all the necessary documentation and paperwork for the sale, often requiring some knowledge of local and federal laws and regulations regarding sales, trading and taxation
  • Oversee the daily review of 'voided load opportunities' to direct geographic improvements in carrier development
  • Provide pricing and lane capacity for potential future business opportunities
  • Timely respond to all load opportunities with pricing and availability
  • Develop, and maintain, partnerships with outside carrier base to support the demand for transportation services
  • Negotiate rates and capacity on a spot or contract basis for the movement of freight

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ work experience in similar role
  • Established book of business preferred
  • Must be very knowledgeable in regards to their company’s products and services, being able to answer any customer questions, advise customers and guide them toward a product or service that fits their needs
  • Successfully close deals
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized perfectionists who ensure that all aspects of the process run smoothly
  • Generating leads and attracting new prospects, and developing a sales pipeline
  • Identifying and selecting reputable and safe carriers for freight services
  • Providing customers with shipping quotes
  • Maintaining current knowledge of market trends in transportation marketplace
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient negotiating skills
