The Bookkeeper is responsible for the accurate completion of general accounting duties to ensure the efficient administration of the accounts function.

Compensation: $40K to $55K per year


  • Monitor cash position, in particular company credit cards
  • Assist in tracking employee movements
  • Enter overhead invoices and employee re-imbursements
  • Check bank and receipt client payments
  • Monitor and maintain debtor facility
  • Monitor and maintain cash on hand, bank and petty cash  
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare overheads for payments
  • Manage accounts receivable, including collections and weekly reporting 
  • Manage accounts payable, chasing statements, scheduling payments and reporting weekly 
  • Review unbilled costs and revenue in jobs, liaise with project managers 
  • Liaise with accountant for accurate cash flow reporting 
  • Maintain asset register 
  • Collect, code and enter any company credit cards 
  • Prepare EOM reconciliation for debtor facility overdraft 
  • Prepare a job costing P&L, including but not limited to analyzing job profit, liaising with project managers and closing out complete shipments 
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Archive effectively with precaution of sensitive information 
  • Prepare quarterly job costing analysis, including but not limited to department and client analysis 
  • Assist with fringe benefit tax return
  • Assist bank with facility audit
  • Prepare Annual job costing analysis, including but not limited to department and client analysis 
  • Assist with end of year close off 
  • Monitor and maintain credit cards 
  • Monitor and maintain fuel cards 
  • Provide annual leave relief for accountant


  • Minimum 2yrs experience in Accounts/Bookkeeping incorporating accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll
  • Experience with MYOB (desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
  • Highly developed numerical and financial acumen 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Strong oral communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
