Seeking a Software Quality Assurance

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000


  • The goal is to bring someone in as a level I. If we find someone more experienced, we can consider bringing them in as a level II and paying a higher amount.)
  • Analyst level I: (2-3 years of experience as a tester, some experience writing automated tests, writes/executes test plans, etc.)
  • Responsible for the usage and testing of the Making Everlasting Memories (MeM) software suite with the purpose of identifying software problems and their causes
  • Ensures continued performance of MeM software through design of test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures; development of testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or issue retests, or usability
  • Documentation of software defects, using an issue tracking system, and report defects to software developers; monitoring issue resolution efforts and track successes
  • Identification of program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance
  • Participation in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems; planning of test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
  • Compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments. 
  • Design of test plans, development of testing programs, documentation of software defects.  (40%)
  • Investigate/ assist with customer problems due to software issues and monitor issue resolution efforts and track successes (35%)
  • Participation in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements (15%)


  • Deep understanding of Information Tech Operations
  • Working knowledge of Software Quality Assurance Methodologies
  • Ability to rely on experience or judgment to accomplish goals
  • Familiarity in computer languages and platforms like HTML, .NET, C++ and Java
  • Understanding technical concepts and relating them to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to support multiple priorities and teams/disciplines, i.e., Information Technology, Marketing, Sales
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Prefer one or more of the following designations: CASQ, CSQA, CMSQ, CSQE
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
