Job Description
Salary + Additional Benefits:
- $75,000-$80,000 + Bonus

Location: Beaumont, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor FSQA Technicians with their performance of day-to-day tasks, assign to work areas as appropriate.
- Perform monitoring checks in absence of FSQA Technicians.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of the plant.
- Facilitate regulatory personnel pre-operational inspections of the plant.
- Prepare for, participate in, and facilitate all audits/site visits.
- Coordinate and conduct training of FSQA Technicians & assist production management team with food safety & quality training.
- Provide guidance to the production team on food safety, quality, & regulatory matters.
- Serve as an expert in day-to-day plant quality performance.
- Sample product, conduct environmental monitoring activities, and verify 3rd party service providers are adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Trend food safety/quality data.
- Serve as backup for FSQA Director.
- Respond to regulatory personnel non-conformances as assigned.
- Demonstrate sound decision-making and leadership skills.
- Exercise discretion and assist with resolving team member issues.
- Ensure non-conforming products are properly dispositioned and reported to appropriate personnel.
- Perform other responsibilities/special projects, as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 4-year College Degree in science or food related field preferred
- Must be able to work a Monday-Friday 5:00am to 7:00pm schedule. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when scheduled is required.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English
- Bilingual - Spanish speaking preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus
- Certification in food safety or related field is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes
- Experience in conducting quality and food safety inspections and audits preferred
- Ability to adhere to strict quality and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong math and computational skills
- This position will work with computers; computer and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) required
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
