Job Description

A rapidly growing pathology group is seeking a Benefits Administrator to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Benefits Administrator will be responsible for managing all benefit-related functions.

Salary + Additional Benefits:
  • $65,000-$70,000

Location: Central Houston, TX 77092
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Benefits support includes but is not limited to the following areas: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, EAP, Worker's Compensation, 401k, Health Savings Accounts.
  • Administer various multi-state employee programs.
  • Respond to all benefits inquiries and requests.
  • Work directly with benefits vendors.
  • Prepare and perform all open enrollment activities.
  • Oversee the maintenance of employee files (electronic and paper) for required record-keeping compliance.
  • Prepare reports related to Benefits audits and payroll updates.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to employees with benefits-related questions and claims.
  • Complete and manage processes for employee STD, LTD, and Life claims.
  • Provide written notification of employees’ enrollment follow-up tasks and deadlines.
  • Review and approve dependent verification documents ensures accurate and detailed record-keeping.
  • Responsible for supporting the monthly ACA analysis and reporting process.
  • Audit and provide appropriate updates for the monthly COBRA reports.
  • Create the reporting required for the monthly invoicing process, provide to HR Director for audit.
  • Assist with required Worker's Comp state reporting.
  • Ensures distribution of required compliance notices, as required.
  • Assists with Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a Benefits role with progressive development displayed
  • Knowledge of all Federal & State regulations, filing, and compliance regulations affecting employee Benefits plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint with Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Hands-on experience in HRIS and/or Benefits Administration systems, Paycom or similar
