Job Description

A global manufacturer is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to provide financial insights and projections. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive knowledge of accounting and financial planning & analysis within the manufacturing industry, along with exceptional leadership and management abilities.

Location: Houston, TX 77041 - Hybrid
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Support communication between regional finance, corporate finance, and central functions.
  • Support central functions forecast ownership by reviewing expense accruals, identify and research variances regarding forecast, budget, and prior year expenses.
  • Support business stewardship by reviewing financial reports, presentations, and other management reporting needs.
  • Support achievement of corporate goals.
  • Support Company-LHE Group key business processes, including results tracking and forecasting cycles.
  • Support development of simplified and streamlined reporting.
  • Partnership to drive efficiencies with the Global Business Controller and the regional and sub regional Finance Directors.
  • Support and clarify reporting adherence as needed to guarantee accurate consolidation.
  • Support leadership with actionable and timely business insights.
  • Provide end to end dedicated support for selecting central functions as well as support on Global projects.
  • Support collaboration between businesses and functional leads in savings initiatives.
  • Analyze progress towards attainment of annual plans and budget.
  • Deliver relative financial/business performance board materials.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; finance or accounting preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in FP&A, and/or financial analysis in manufacturing companies; Cost experience required
  • Highly proficient in Excel and MS Office; ERP system experience
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and effectively identify and synthesize key messages
